Injecting some life into vinyl record production

Injecting some life into vinyl production, a Dutch company called Symcom has reportedly received an EU grant to develop an injection moulding system for the production of vinyl records.
The new technology apparently reduces production costs, is a greener production method than traditional vinyl pressing and results in crisper sound quality.
The new system is also reported to reduce the production cycle from around 12 weeks to just 2 weeks. It should also result in cheaper records for vinyl lovers, which has to be good news!
