This week as we say a sad farewell to Chuck Berry, the true king of Rock ‘n’ Roll, Stupidity by Dr. Feelgood has been played on constant rotation in the offices of Pop Classics. The link of course is that the first track on this blistering set from 1975 is the band’s cover of Chuck’s classic “Talking About You”. It seems like only yesterday but next month Lee Brilleaux has been gone for 23 years, the music he and Dr. Feelgood produced still feels as fresh and relevant as ever it did. In our opinion “Stupidity” is the best live album ever committed to vinyl, if we were transported back to 1975 right now there’s no other band on the planet we’d rather see than the mighty Feelgood’s.
